The man who spent most of his latest blog posts continuing his tirade of criticism directed at Annie Duke and her alleged claims to be the best female poker player in the World busted the Loose Cannon in the PokerStars big game second week. Not a surprise you might say, he's one of the biggest names in poker with millions of tournament winnings to his name. Well his cash form on High Stakes Poker and similar TV shows has been questionable of late (despite his constant attacks on Phil Hellmuth for exactly the same situation). His call to bust the loose cannon in a $200k pot that would no doubt have changed his life was pretty gross.

You can see for yourself above but the general lowdown was that in a 3-way pot Daniel had pocket queens with one spade and faced top set and the flopped flush (which was held by the loose cannon) and decided to call it off with by far the butt end of the equity. Of course he spiked and was seen laughing away at the end of the show. Naturally he was delighted to be so lucky but it felt a bit cheap to me after dealing such a sick blow to the loose cannon he couldn't show a little more humility.
Although it seems winning on TV is a rare occurrence for Mr Negreanu these days so perhaps it's wise he showboats when he's lucky and keeps attracting attention to himself with constant tirades against Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke.
